Most Welsh windfarms are comfortably profitable

Windfarms are low risk, with stable income and predictable costs more or less guaranteed for their lifetime, and so a 5% return on investment could be considered reasonable, and 9%  comfortable.

EBITDA measures the cash generating capacity of the business - turnover less cash operating expenses

It is often used to estimate the return on investment and current market value of a business

These 24 windfarms have, on average,  an EBITDA of more than 70% of gross turnover.
